About this tool
In most Indian business families, one person knows everything: which bank has the locker, who owes money, which policy has which nominee, the GST login, the broker who sold the property. When that person is suddenly unavailable, the family spends months, sometimes years, piecing it together, and some money is never found.
This checklist is the hand-over every business owner should prepare once and update every year. Ticking it takes 10 minutes; acting on it takes a weekend.

Questions
Should I write passwords here?
No. Write only where things are kept and who to call. Keep passwords in a password manager or a sealed envelope with someone you trust.
Is a nominee enough?
A nominee only collects the money; the legal heirs own it. A registered Will avoids disputes. Do both.
Where should these documents be kept?
Originals in a safe place known to your spouse or partner, and scanned copies in DigiLocker or a shared drive.
